Global Scale

The World’s Largest
In Three Categories

India is the world's largest rice exporter, with about 40% of world rice trade, and it grows more spices and pulses than any other country.

This size brings real choice in every product group and fresh supply all through the year. Those are the things a serious buyer looks for first, and that is why India matters so much to buyers in world food trade.

Antaara’s Position

Antaara has built buying relationships across all five belts, so when one region has a weak or late season, we can draw on another region instead. That is how we can keep your supply steady through the whole year.

02
Year-Round Supply

Three Seasons.
Twelve Months.

India has three growing seasons: Kharif in the monsoon, Rabi in winter and Zaid in summer. Each one grows a different set of crops, and together they keep fresh supply moving all the way through the year.

A fresh crop arrives in almost every month: cumin in February, chana in March, groundnut in October and basmati in November each year.

Antaara’s Position

Antaara plans its buying around these harvests, so you get fresh crop. Tell us your shipping month, and we will plan your order around it.

Plan Before Harvest
India five climate zones: North plains and foothills, West arid, Central plateau, South tropical and East deltaic, with the main crops from each zone.
03
Climate Diversity

Five Climate Zones.
Every Crop’s Home.

India is not one growing area but five climate belts. The northern plains give basmati, the dry west gives cumin and the warm south gives cardamom, so each crop grows where the soil and weather suit it best.

Few countries hold this spread in one place. One exporter across five belts means one contract and one set of quality rules for you.

Antaara’s Position

Because Antaara buys from all five belts, basmati, spices, pulses, cereals and dried goods can come from one source, mixed in one container.
